Brexit: Driving in the EU

You may have read in the news that in the event of a no deal Brexit, customers who will be driving in the EU after the UK leaves will be required under EU regulations to obtain a Green Card from their insurer as proof of insurance.

Further to the EU granting the UK an extension to the Brexit process until 31st October 2019; this means that at this time, Green Cards are not required for driving in the EU and we will not be sending out any further Green Cards for customers travelling up to 31st October.

We will continue to monitor developments and if there is a need for us to issue Green Cards for travel after 31st October 2019 - please contact us 21 days before you are travelling and we will arrange for one to be sent to you.

If you are travelling later in the year, please keep an eye on the following websites for further updates around any changes to Green Card requirements.
