Commercial Vehicle Operator Show draws nearer
04 March 2010
Van insurance policyholders might want to head to this year's Commercial Vehicle Operator Show at Birmingham's NEC Arena to gain advice on how training can benefit their business.
Taking place between April 13th and 15th, the show will bring together experts within a range of fields relating to vans, including the Road Haulage Association (RHA), Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Freight Transport Association.
According to the show's organisers, training investment is an integral part of ensuring a transport enterprise's success.
The RHA's stands are set to provide plenty of advice and information with regards to training, including details of its Managing Your Operators Licence course, which helps motorists hone their van driving skills and could help them gain their Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
Steve Ellis, RHA head of national training, said: "The Managing Your Operators Licence course is proving particularly popular with owners, directors and managers all gaining the benefit of seven hours approved training towards their own driver CPC needs."
The event is set to draw thousands of van and
car insurance policyholders who run fleets and are looking for ways to reduce their overheads, maximise efficiency and solve problems, as well as increase their profitability.
Last month, organisers revealed that more than 250 bookings have been made by exhibitors attending the show, of which 51 will be displaying their products and services for the first time.
Tyre companies including Goodyear, Dunlop and Michelin have confirmed they will be in attendance alongside van manufacturers like Renault and Peugeot.
