Van insurance policyholders looking to invest in a new commercial vehicle this year may be interested to read that Nissan is expanding its NV200 range.
The firm has announced that a new passenger-carrying Combi version of its light commercial vehicle (LCV) is to be released into the market in February, priced from £15,685.
Nissan plans to launch three versions of the new model, with different seating capabilities. The entry level offering will house up to five people, while the SE and SE Plus models can carry up to seven people when a third seating row is fitted.
All the vehicles will be fitted with a 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine and return 53.3 miles per gallon in the combined cycle while generating 139 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
Nissan's LCV sales and marketing director Francis Bleasdale commented: "The Combi version widens the appeal of the van outside of the normal LCV market and into the consideration of a much wider audience."
The expert added that the model combines versatility, practicality and value, which is sure to appeal to family car buyers - potentially including
car insurance policyholders.
Models are fitted with a range of features, including electric windows, a CD player, an antilock braking system, driver and passenger airbags and a trip computer.
Next month is also set to see the manufacturer officially reveal its small crossover model the Juke to the world before the vehicle goes on sale in Europe in the autumn.
