What forms of NCD proof are acceptable?
- An original (not a photocopy) renewal notice, policy schedule or letter from the previous car insurance company showing the following essential information:
- The expiry date of the car insurance. We require that the previous policy expired no more than 24 months before the start of the car insurance policy with us
- The name of the driver who earned the NCD. This must be the Regular Driver on the car insurance policy with us, who could be a different person to the Policyholder
- The NCD entitlement in years or the percentage No Claims Discount
- If a Regular Driver has married but the proof is still in the maiden name, please note that the NCD is only acceptable in conjunction with a copy of the marriage certificate
- Where a Regular Driver has changed their name by deed poll but the proof of NCD is shown in their old name, we will require a copy of "the change of name deed"
