We currently allow a discount for company cars where we are supplied with a letter from the employer stating the following:
- How long the Regular Driver was insured under the company
- Full details of accident, claims and loss history
- That the Regular Driver had sole use of the vehicle including personal usage
- NCD earned on a company car cannot be transferred between spouses irrespective of whether they are covered under the fleet insurance or not
- In the case that the company car was allocated in a family run business, the letter must come from the car insurance company or broker as we will not accept a letter from the employer in this instance.
The Regular Driver must have ceased to have the use of the company car for the discount to be applicable.
Company Car discount is NOT recognisable when the company car is:
- A taxi
- An agricultural vehicle (tractors etc)
- A Ministry of Defence (MOD) Vehicle
- A hearse
- Any type of van, irrespective of its size and weight
We cannot transfer the No Claims Discount earned on a company car between husband and wife.
