Are courtesy cars covered by my car insurance policy?
- Your car insurance also applies to any courtesy car one of our recommended repairers provides to you while any damage to your car covered by our car insurance policy is being repaired
- If the repair is being done by one of our recommended repairers, the courtesy car is free and there is no amendment charge payable. The courtesy car will be covered comprehensively, regardless of the cover on the insured car. This fulfils part of our agreement with our repairers
- If the repair is at a non-approved repairer, there is no automatic cover and you should contact us
- If you make a claim for loss or damage to the courtesy car you will be required to pay the excesses as shown in your car insurance Details of Cover document
- All other terms, exceptions and conditions of your car insurance remain the same
- If the courtesy car is still in your possession at the time that your car insurance expires, renewal must be affected in order that insurance cover for the courtesy car remains in force.
